Daughters of Violet: The Soft Reign is a two-piece fine art print set from the Daughters series, pairing I: The Bearing and II: The Pact.

Against pale, weathered plaster, two elongated, faceless women stand in ivory and muted violet Western attire. Broad-brimmed hats, fitted garments, exposed midriffs, and flowing trousers create a striking contrast between feminine elegance and quiet authority. Long, trailing strands of fabric extend their silhouettes, lending the figures an almost ceremonial presence against the deteriorating walls.

In The Bearing, the women stand side by side, facing forward with an unmistakable sense of composure. One wears pale ivory beneath a weathered cream hat, while the other carries deeper violet accents and a dark purple brim. Their contrasting colors establish individuality without diminishing their unity. Neither seeks attention, yet both command it.

In The Pact, the women turn into opposing three-quarter orientations, their heads inclined toward one another. The arrangement becomes more intimate, suggesting an understanding that exists beyond spoken promises. What appeared as shared authority in the first panel becomes a private allegiance in the second.

The softness of the palette does not lessen their authority. Muted violet, aged ivory, and worn plaster replace force with poise, while the elongated silhouettes and trailing fabric introduce movement into an otherwise silent world. Nothing is declared loudly, yet the arrangement of the bodies suggests influence, loyalty, and an order already established.

Sold only as a matched set, the two works are designed as a diptych and intended to hang together.
