Daughters of Dust: The Dust Vow - Western Women - Limited Edition Fine Art Print
The Dust Vow brings two impossibly elongated Western women face-to-face, the brims of their black hats meeting at the center. One stands in deep charcoal, the other in weathered amber, their slender silhouettes rising against a warm, grain-textured background that darkens toward the edges.
The composition is nearly symmetrical, yet subtle differences in posture and dress preserve each woman's individuality. Neither reaches toward the other, and nothing interrupts their extraordinary stillness. The narrow space between them becomes the heart of the painting, holding an encounter whose meaning remains their own.
Part of Daughters of Dust, The Dust Vow suggests a promise without revealing what has been promised.
